About

This is an ideal house for someone who wants to live in a great environment with good roommates and without the typical medical school dramas. Beer sullied parties can be fun - at someone else's house! Great dinner parties and BBQs can be found at this one. This house is ideal for a good natured person who gets along well with others, would like to live in a house they probably couldn't otherwise afford until after residency and who feels that life can be better with a little sharing. This house is set up for someone in medical school, a beginning resident, someone in the intensive nursing program or any other young professional.

This is an owner occupied house (MS1) and as such it isn't be a typical medical student slum dwelling with a distant landlord. Owner is an early 30 something career changer.

The White Coat Ghetto

While this house may lay just outside of the white coat ghetto, an area that traditionally ends at Mt. Hope Ave., this house is in a wonderful community neighborhoord and is closer to Strong Memorial than many of the homes in the White Coat Ghetto are. The white coat ghetto got its colloquial name from its high density of medical students, residents, and nurses - not from a run-down character. As the hospital grew, staff and students have expanded further into the surrounding neighborhoods. An added benefit of this property's location is a mere seven minute walk to Monroe Community Hospital.
